SPORTS ACUPUNCTURE

Sports Acupuncture is a modern term created to refer to the methods of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), modern orthopedic/sports medicine, assessment, functional movement modalities and specialized treatment techniques. It is a results based and a complete approach to treating pain, sports injuries, work injuries, and imbalances in posture. Using orthopedic and manual muscle testing, we can assess the exact location of soft tissue injuries, pain, muscle imbalance. Our practitioners will call upon the use of acu-point systems, dry needling and other specific techniques to aid the body in healing and resetting the nervous system. When these techniques are applied to your treatments, along with your Movement X program and nutritional consultations your results are immediate and you will return to peak levels of activity, sport and performance.

Massage

At Element 6 we are synthesizing Eastern and Western massage modalities to improve circulation, joint range-of-motion, flexibility and alleviate muscle dysfunction and pain. Our master therapists can reduce many common ailments such as stress, muscle tightness, overuse and sports injuries, aches and pains.

Injection Therapy

Acupuncture Point Injection Therapy is administered into acupuncture points or trigger points to help with sports injuries, acute and chronic pain management, muscle spasm, inflammation, arthritis, fatigue, and vitamin deficiency. The injection is made up of safe and approved injectable solutions such as saline, homeopathic, vitamins, and herbs improves the quality of the injured or diseased soft tissue and efficiently helps facilitate healing.

Just like acupuncture, very fine and thin needles are inserted into acupuncture points or trigger points, myofascial trigger points, and neurological trigger points just under the skin or into soft tissue.
